Teaching & Research
Teaching experience
I believe that every student is unique and has loads of hidden potential. My job as a teacher in the IM department is to incite them to think and leave the class with a sense of learning aand fulfillment.
I try to incorporate inquiry-based learning pedagogy into my teaching process, as it prioritizes problems that require critical and creative thinking. My past few years' experiences show that students hone their intellectual abilities to ask questions, design investigations, interpret evidence, form explanations, and arguments, and communicate findings.
Other facets of my teaching include:
• I teach Ph.D. and Masters level courses such as Knowledge Management and Strategic Information Management.
• I teach undergraduate-level courses such as Information Management, Essentials of Management, Introduction to Management Psychology, Statistics, and Applied Statistics.
• I create course materials, class activities, and home assignments to illustrate the application of course concepts.
• I evaluate student progress through analysis of classroom participation, assignments, and test scores. Provided outside-classroom support to struggling students.
Research experience
In my current role at Chaoyang University, I must balance my research and teaching simultaneously. Therefore, along with teaching, I started exploring newer research topics independently and publishing papers in collaboration with colleagues.
I really enjoy the process of formulating research questions, collecting data, doing analysis using tools, and highlighting the key findings from the data. The topics I find interesting are how technology impacts education, well-being in individuals, enhancing online learning effectiveness, the impact of social media on mental well-being, and cyberloafing in students. In a nutshell, the research areas of interest include expatriate management, mental well-being, management education, and team development.
I have published several papers in peer-reviewed international journals. I have also attended several international conferences in Beijing, Italy, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand, showcasing my preliminary research findings. Please refer to my ResearchGate profile for further details.
